Cait and the Critters: Cait Jones is a New York City raised jazz singer specializing in swing music. With followers and listeners worldwide, she has delighted swing dancers in Europe, Asia and Australia. Her swing band, Cait and the Critters, is a household name in the New York City swing dance community. She learned band leading and jazz stylization by showing up weekly to the Tuesday night jam session at Mona’s in Manhattan’s Alphabet City in 2013. A year later she booked her first gig and grew rapidly in popularity. From swing dance halls to intimate settings, she has captivated audiences, with her “lovely voice, splendid clear diction, admirable microphone technique, dead-on pitch, and subtle swing,” (Jazz Lives, Michael Steinman). Today you can find her performing regularly for dancers, toe tappers and lovers of great stories.
