The Salmagundi Club is one of America’s oldest art institutions. Located in a stunning Pre-Civil War mansion on fifth Avenue, it has welcomed artists and art lovers for over 150 years.
On Friday June 23rd it welcomes The Small Dog Jazz Society and a special Guest to play live jazz in the skylight gallery on the main level. Seth Harris will teach an Intro to Lindy Hop lesson at 6:30 followed by live music at 7:15. The award winning Findyhoppers will perform during the set break. Tickets are available to the general public for $25.
The Salmagundi Club also welcomes attendees to stay for dinner. After purchasing your ticket for Jazz and Lindy Hop, make your dinner reservation in advance via the club’s reservations page with the message “Lindy Hop Dinner”. Dinner will be served in the club’s restaurant located on the bottom floor.
Attendees are also welcome to visit the bar, which is located next to the dining room. You can order libations throughout the night. Non-members are reminded to bring a credit card for drinks as this is a cashless building.
There is no dress code but the building is very beautiful so you may want to be dressed for pictures.
