On April 16, we will have our Spring opener with Danny Lipsitz And the Brass Tacks and revive our Annual Swing Remix dance contest!
The Band: Danny Lipsitz and the Brass Tacks! Danny is a skilled veteran tri-state area performer that has a
huge following in the current NYC swing dance community. One of the first bandleaders coming back from the pandemic, Danny has risen to immense popularity, even organizing groundbreaking, successful events like “Swing on the Sound”!
The Contest: As in years past, our dance contest will be a showcase of the brightest stars swinging in and around the NYC area! Dance couples* will compete for CASH & PRIZES in three high energy, and higher flying rounds where any swing goes! Local NYC Swing icons will judge with YOU the audience to pick our winners!
Our competition will start as an “all skate“ where couples will be tapped out by our judges to reduce the playing field. Two rounds will determine our finalists who will dance in showcase format live to the band!
