Exploring Jazz movement from its origins forward. Better utilizing your full body be experiencing alternative ways to move through Jaxx via a more authentic vocabulary & approach

1:45 – 3:15 Tips on Styling
Delivering both partnered and solo moves with more style! Ryan will be open to any requests to work on specific steps that you want to develop as well as bringing a whole bag of his own ideas

Sunday Dec 11th

12:00 – 1:30 Lead/Follow Essentials
Learn Ryan’s core principles for lead & follow technique. He will also also improve your overall communication skills, encouraging mutual space for both sides to improvise and feel free.

1:45 – 3:15 Taking your Shim Sham up a notch
Traditionally we all have been doing one or other version of Frankie Manning’s Shim Sham. Presently most of the current generation of Lindyhoppers have settled on the ShimSham danced to Jimmy Luncefords T’aint What You Do.
In this class Ryan would like to teach a more complete and challenging version of the ShimSham incorporating moves that Frankie Manning and Chazz Young used to perform when they used this song. With some additional but complimentary moves essentially giving your old Shim Sham a much needed makeover.
