This policy explains what information NYC Swings collects when you use www.nycswings.net, how we use it, and the choices you have. NYC Swings organizes Flow Fridays and New York Flow Festival and lists swing dance classes and events in New York City.
When you browse the site
We use Google Analytics to learn how people find and use the site, for example which pages they visit and which links bring them here. Google Analytics sets cookies whose names start with _ga and collects information such as the pages you view, the site that referred you, your browser and device type, and your approximate location. It uses your IP address to estimate your location and doesn’t store it. We see this information only in aggregate reports, and we don’t use it to identify you. Like most websites, the services that host and protect this site automatically record technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. They use it to deliver the site, block attacks, and troubleshoot problems.
The contact page shows an embedded Google map. When the map loads, Google receives your IP address and can set its own cookies, as described in the Google Privacy Policy.
When you contact us
When you send us a message through our contact form, we receive your name, your email address, and what you write. We use them only to reply to you.
When you buy tickets
Ticket payments on this site go through the Stripe account of Danznik Studios, our partner venue. Stripe collects your payment details on its own checkout page, so neither we nor Danznik Studios see or store your full card number. Danznik Studios receives your name, your email address, and what you bought, and uses them to confirm your purchase and to contact you about the event. What we don’t do
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it with anyone for advertising. We share it only with the partners and services named in this policy, or when the law requires it.
Other websites
Event listings link to registration pages on other websites, such as danznik.com, and our footer links to our social media accounts. Those sites have their own privacy policies. Nothing loads from them until you follow a link.
How long we keep information
We keep messages and purchase records only as long as we need them to reply to you, run our events, and meet tax and accounting requirements. Google Analytics keeps its data for up to 14 months.
Your choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works without them.
- To stop Google Analytics from recording your visits on any website, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- To find out what information we have about you, or to ask us to correct or delete it, send us a message through our contact form.
- The site doesn’t respond to Do Not Track signals from your browser.
Children
This site isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page.
