What to Expect

No Partner Needed

Most people come solo! We rotate partners throughout class so you get experience dancing with different people.

Zero Experience Required

Group beginner classes start from the absolute basics. You'll learn the fundamental steps, how to connect with a partner, and basic musicality. Everyone starts somewhere. We've got you.

What to Wear

Comfortable clothes you can move in. For shoes:

Smooth-soled shoes that can slide (leather-soled dress shoes, dance sneakers)
Avoid rubber-soled sneakers—they stick to the floor and can hurt your knees
When in doubt, wear what’s comfortable, and we’ll help you figure out the rest

Swing dancing is social. You'll meet people, make friends, and become part of a community that loves to dance and support each other.

Beginner group classes are taught by experienced instructors in partnership with Danznik Studios. Drop in anytime, no committment required.
