Lindy Hop on Tuesday nights with Gaby & AJ + the Midtown Swings crew!
Lindy 100 – 6:30pm
Perfect for beginners, the Lindy 100 course will provide you with the basic fundamentals of swing. We will rotate through these 3 rhythms each month: 6-count, 8-count and Charleston.
Join at the beginning of any month.
All-levels welcome, no partner or experience necessary.
> Move up to Lindy 150
Our learning recommendation is to take the 100 Class for an entire rhythm series (1 month), and then to take the 150 classes in conjunction with your next Lindy 100 series. OR to take all of the Lindy 100 classes before moving to Lindy 150.
Approximately 3-6 months.

Lindy 150 – 7:30pm
Developed for beginners who want to improve technique – this class teaches partnering (leading/following), rhythm, posture, pulse, and combining swing rhythms.
Prerequisite: Completion of at least one month of the 100-series is required.
> Move up to Lindy 200
Our learning recommendation is to take the 150 class in conjunction with the 100 classes for your second time through the 100 series. OR to take the 150 class after completing all 3 rhythms for Lindy 100.
Approximately 3-6 months.

Lindy 200 – 8:30pm
This series is focused on social dancing skills and emphasizes vocabulary, connection and technique.
Prerequisite: Have taken at least 6 months of the Lindy 100/150 series and covered all three rhythms (6-Count, 8-Count, Charleston), or have equivalent dance experience and permission from the teacher to join.

WHAT IS LINDY HOP?
Lindy Hop, the original swing dance, is a social dance that originated in the 1920s-40s at the Savoy Ballroom in Harlem, New York. Improvisational, playful, and highly rhythmic, this dance is defined by music of the Big Band era including Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald and Benny Goodman.
