New York Flow Festival

New York Flow Festival is designed for West Coast Swing competitors, and we’re putting thoughtful touches on the weekend experience:

• A Dedicated Community: All Novice to Champion attendees will be full weekend pass holders and must compete in a skill-based WSDC Jack & Jill contest, creating an immersive environment for dancers.
• Capped & Balanced Divisions: Jack & Jill contests are capped for leader and follower roles to ensure balanced and manageable competitions with smaller heats.
• Expert Judges: All J&J contest judges will have significant WSDC judging experience.
• More Floor Time: Enjoy smaller heat sizes with four songs, giving you more time to showcase your dancing.
• A Level Playing Field: We’ll ensure fairness through consistent music genres and BPMs among division heats, and fully-randomized partnering before the first dance.
• Mental Health & Anxiety Workshop: Benefit from a unique workshop on managing competitor anxiety and improving your mental game.

Expert Feedback

We’d like all competitors to go home feeling like they have next steps to improve their competition dancing.

• Direct Q&A Sessions: For Novice to All-Star competitors, attend a dedicated Q&A session with your division’s judges to ask questions and get direct insights on what they value.
• Personalized Comments: All finalists will receive personalized, written comments for our dedicated note-taking judge that provide clear, actionable feedback.
• Finals Videos: We’ll share high-quality, social media-ready videos of your finals dances.

Leveled Learning

Your full weekend pass includes a curated educational path to help you grow alongside your division peers, taught by top-tier professional instructors.

• Leveled Intensives: Participate in a 2-hour intensive with a Champion instructor, exclusively for dancers in your skill level.
• Focused Workshops: Receive targeted instruction in two 50-minute leveled workshops,
